Globe Life's Headquarters has an open opportunity for a Senior .Net Developer to join our IT department.
• 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using T-SQL with an ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (MVS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Practical experience with a tier one cloud platforms like AWS.
• Experience with mobile development platforms like Xamarin is a plus.
• Experience with insurance domain is a plus.
• Build code (C#, .NET 4.5+) that leverages Web API and Web Services (WCF, REST).
• Develop complex database solutions using MS SQL including T-SQL, stored procedures, and SSIS.
• Utilize Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS, and ASP.Net to implement enterprise web pages.
• Enhance and support existing application that support day-to-day business activities.
• Design, develop, maintain and enhance systems based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards.
• Monitor and optimize systems to ensure best performance.
• Perform unit testing using tools like NUnit and mocking frameworks like MOQ.
• Document code appropriately for maintainability.
• Translate requirements and use cases into technical designs and functional code.
• Collaborate with different teams and team members on projects.
• Act as a mentor to other developers with programming issues.
• Perform design and code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance and application responsiveness.
• Identify and resolve problems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, distributed systems/architectures, web application architecture, SOA and relational database design.
• Strong understanding of web security concepts (CSRF, XSS, OWASP) and .Net Security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
