Job description
Join us in advancing the analytics culture in IT! You will focus on the development of new BI, reporting, and analytics services, while providing support to our existing system. The goal will be to produce a first class reporting experience and analytic support to all business units and levels of the Enterprise.
•Build close partnerships with business stakeholders and assist in developing their business requirements
•Assist users with the outlining their user stories and acceptance criteria
•Provide accurate estimate of effort required for development
•Evaluate data quality and collaborate to create positive feedback loops
•Join and merge data sets independently and by working with other teams
•Summarize results
•Understand business processes
Education requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in analytical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Experience requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in data analysis or equivalent education
• Data visualization using modern tools is a plus
Tableau highly desirable
• R, Python, SAS or similar tools for advanced analytics is a plus
• Experience in designing and developing ETL using Informatica is a plus Must work well in highly collaborative and team oriented environment
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications

Skills
• Understanding of ETL tools and processes such as SQL, etc.
• Experience in Tableau/Qlikview development and data visualization.
• Strong technical documentation; experience in writing data mapping and technical specification documents
• Be able to understand business processes from a data driven and quantification perspective
• Solid communication and ability to work in team based settings
• Background knowledge in insurance industry and terminology is a plus
• Excellent record keeping and ability to generate reproducible outcomes
• Data visualization using modern tools is a plus
• Knowledge of data governance processes and methodologies
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
• Skill with advanced methodologies such as these are desirable
